Recently used Joan and her team for my husbands funeral and my mothers 2 weeks apart. The service is outstanding. Joan has been a pillar of strength at such a difficult time. What a wonderful place Hickmans Funeral Service is. After the sudden but peaceful passing of my partner,my daughter in law, brought me here to arrange the funeral. A family run business for 40 years. At what was a very sad and devastating time for me, Joan, was so compassionate and caring. She arranged everything that we wished for in a very kind but professional manner. All our questions were answered effortlessly. On the day of the funeral, don't know why, but I was expecting a black hearse and mourners car. Instead beautiful burgundy vehicles arrived at my home with the flowers we had arranged, beautifully placed to take my partner on his final journey. During the service at Thornhill, Matt the celebrant spoke with such care and compassion, and a little humour which helped during the sad service. I will never forget the day, but it was made so much easier by the wonderful Joan and Matt.
